THOUSANDS of pounds worth of bicycles have been stolen from a York village.
North Yorkshire Police said an Orange brand and a Giant brand of mountain bike were stolen as part of a garage burglary took place in Wigginton between September 1 and September 9.
The force said it was appealing for information about the two full-suspension mountain bikes.
A spokesperson for the force said: “One is a blue-coloured Orange Stage 6 Factory which is a 2020 model.
“It has multiple custom parts including brands like Hope and Burgtec.
“The other is a black Giant Trance 3 which has white and blue stickers on the frame.
“It has green handlebars and Michelin Wild Enduro branded tyres.
“These bikes have a combined value of £2,500.”
