ANYONE passing one of York's major attractions tomorrow (September 17) may spot a number of vehicles belonging to one of the emergency services.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said it is sending a number of engines to the National Railway Museum in York where the service said it is taking part in a planned training exercise.
A spokesperson for the service said: “The exercise will involve a simulated collision between a locomotive and a car within the railway museum site.
“It will not impact on the running of trains in and out of York train station.
“Working in partnership with other organisations allows us to test the effectiveness of our response if a real incident of this kind was to occur, and continually improve our service to the community.”
