A POLICE incident which closed a major road in East Yorkshire has now cleared.
As The Press reported earlier, the A166 at Wetwang was closed both ways due to a police incident from the B1248 Beverley Road at Wetwang to the B1252 Garton Hill for Garton on the Wolds.
The precise nature of the incident is not known at this time.
Drivers were being asked to avoid the area if at all possible, but the road has now reopened as of 12.55pm and traffic is easing.
