EMERGENCY crews have been called to a crash on a major road in North Yorkshire.
The county's fire and rescue service say that they were called out at 7.20am today (September 10) after reports of a crash on the A1 southbound between junctions 50 and 49.
A service spokesman said: "Crews from Ripon and Knaresborough attended a single vehicle road traffic collision to assist with scene safety.
"The vehicle had already been removed from its location by Highways prior to crews arrival."
