Emergency services were on the scene at an incident on a bridge in York city centre.
Police and fire crews were called to Ouse Bridge at about 1.30pm today (Monday, September 2).
A person was seen standing on the wrong side of the bridge's wall.
People were being asked to avoid the area while the emergency services worked on the scene.
North Yorkshire Police confirmed that the incident was brought to a safe conclusion at 2pm.
