A serious crash has closed a main road in the North York Moors.
The A169 is shut at Saltergate, near the Hole of Horcum, north of Pickering, after the crash this afternoon (Sunday, August 25).
Emergency services are on the scene with police urging drivers to avoid the area.
An air ambulance was also called to the incident.
“The road may be closed for some time, so we're urging drivers to find other routes while we deal with the incident,” a North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said.
“Many thanks for your co-operation.”
