A man seen with a hammer has been charged with stalking both a woman and a man.

James Renfree is accused of committing the offences in Fareham between October 1, 2023 and May 6, 2024.

The 44-year-old has been charged with one count of stalking involving fear of violence relating to an alleged course of conduct.

He was also charged with criminal damage at an address in Fareham on May 6, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, namely a hammer, in Wickham Road in Fareham on May 5, and possession of cannabis.

Renfree, of Southampton Road in Titchfield, appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on May 8.

At the hearing, he was remanded in custody further to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on June 10.
