SCOUTS came together in Bradford to celebrate St George’s Day.

Bradford North Scouts marked the day at the Blackhills Scout Campsite in Wilsden on Sunday.

It was attended by more than 100 young people, leaders, members, and parents.

There was a special appearance from the Lord Mayor Gerry Barker and the Lady Mayoress Jean Barker, as well as the County Commissioner of West Yorkshire Scouts.

It started with a parade of all the flags through the campsite to the reflection zone, for a short service to hear about the story of St George.

The scouts renewed their promises and awards were handed out to adult volunteers who give up their time week by week for the movement.

There was then a parade back to the main car park, followed by St George-related activities.

Contact info@bradfordnorthscouts.org.uk for more information on how to join, either as a young person or an adult volunteer.

St George's Day is officially marked on April 23.
