AN initiative aimed at encouraging Keighley people to try new skills has been hailed as a success.
Around 70 people took part in the Try Something Spring programme, which offered a series of free activities for all age groups.
Sessions – which included spring crafts, samba drumming and a wood workshop — were funded by Keighley Town Council’s events and community action committee.
It thanked everyone who attended and the organisations involved, including The Responsible Timber Co, Action Point, Jamba Community Samba Band, Active Travel Social Prescribers, Keighley & District Local History Society and Keighley Urban Meadows.
Committee chair, Councillor Abdul Shohid, says: "The Try Something Spring project showcased some of the amazing organisations that we have in the Keighley area, and it was wonderful to see so many people trying something new and engaging with the project.
"It helped people learn skills and feel more connected to their community."
