BRITISH music icon Peter Hook, formerly of Joy Division and New Order, is bringing his world tour to York.

In 2010, the bassist formed the post-punk band 'Peter Hook and The Light'. The band performs hits from the repertoire of both Joy Division and New Order.

The new 'Substance' world tour will play at venues in Australia, New Zealand, America, the UK and Ireland.

The live dates will see the band perform the Substance albums - featuring hits from Joy Division and New Order - in full.

Ahead of the tour, Peter said: "It still amazes me how enjoyable it is to play the Substance LPs. The contrast between Joy Division and New Order is very apparent but both complement each other very well.

"My only frustration is not being able to play more of our records each night."

Tickets go on sale on November 17 at 10am, ahead of the York Barbican concert on October 10, 2024. They can be purchased via ticketmaster here.
