A CARE home was full of animal mischief this week when a pony paid them a special visit.

Residents at Stamford Bridge were surprised to see their new furry friends roaming around the home as the pony, which is owned by a relative of one of the residents, visited.

General manager at the home, Emma, said: “Our residents have really enjoyed their unusual visitor today. We knew that having the pony here would be a bit of fun for all our residents, especially as some find it difficult to go on many outings in our minibus.

"We are always looking for new activities for the residents and today we have seen the seen the enjoyment and the therapeutic influence animals can have on people.”

Activities co-ordinator Heidi said she was very excited when she found out one of the relatives had a pony and was willing to bring it in.

"Our residents just love it when we have animals come into the home, the pure joy and delight on their faces is priceless," she added.
