SEVERAL people were attacked during a fight between two groups in a popular York pub.
North Yorkshire Police say an altercation took place in the Slug and Lettuce, at Low Ousegate in York at about 3.50pm, on Saturday, May 27 and involved a fight between two large groups during which several people were assaulted, and homophobic language is reported to have been used.

A police spokesman said: "Officers are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding this public order offence.
"In particular, they are appealing for information from potential witnesses who were present in Slug and Lettuce at the time."
