The cold air in supermarkets in summer makes them like the Arctic, says David Martin
Amidst all the discussion about coping with the very hot weather, one thing has not been mentioned: the problem of cold supermarkets.
Whenever I go into one, a few steps take me from the tropics to the Arctic.
Being of a timorous disposition, and fearing catching a chill, I take with me a slip-on pullover.
I put this on as I enter, and take it off as I leave. Other people may catch colds, but not me.
