Philip Roe makes a good point about the apparent "danger" of bacon sandwiches (Eat what you like, Letters, February 5).
Who exactly are these CASH (apparently it stands for "Consensus Action on Salt and Health") people anyway?
They seem to be a group of academics who spend their lives in a permanent state of either "dismay" or "shock" about the amount of salt in everyday items like crisps or ham sandwiches (which we all know are salty in any case).
I don't recall voting for them, or people like them, to try to run my life. Maybe if they stopped being shocked all the time they'd feel healthier. Enjoy the butty, Philip.
