HOW right, Mr Ryan (Wake up call, Thursday, January 24). York residents should not be bullied by City of York Council.

With all the recent flooding at Fulford causing the traffic to be diverted on to the A1079 Hull Road, once again it highlights the traffic problems in that area.

With the development taking place at Heslington, people on Badger Hill area already complaining at the chaos already being caused.

Derwenthorpe is already standing in water, so if the development takes place I would not like to live in Osbaldwick - where will all the drainage go? Into the Beck.

There is a public meeting taking place at Burnholme Community Collage on Tuesday, February 12, starting at 10am to discuss the development once again.

So come along the people of Osbaldwick, Temple Lane and Fifth Avenue and let your feelings be known.

With council tax likely to increase once again this year, how can the council ask residents where cuts can be made to save money, yet vote themselves an 11 per cent increase when MPs have only accepted a 1.9 per cent increase?

How can councillors look themselves in the mirror in the morning - have they no principles?
