THOSE who fight on our behalf can suffer mental as well as physical injuries. It is widely recognised how debilitating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can be.

Two such cases are known to readers of this newspaper. Dave Benson, of Haxby, near York, has suffered from post traumatic stress since fighting in the Iraq war of 2003. And Terry Walker suffered from PTSD after fighting in the Gulf War of 1991. Sadly, he died last year.

With such stories in mind, it is good to be able to welcome a new charity, Resolution, which aims to support afflicted servicemen. Such a charity is much needed and welcome.
