Thank God the council has opposed the plans to build 5,500 eco-homes at Clifton Moor; at least someone sees sense (Council opposes eco-town, The Press, January 22).

It doesn't take a clever clogs to see that the A1237 is a joke already, without adding to the problem.

The developers said they would pay for part of the A1237 to be dualled - what a laugh, what's that going to achieve?

An eco-town is hardly eco when it brings more congestion to a road that's already over-congested. It just goes to show who has their eyes open, and who has them shut.
