FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a kitchen fire.
Tadcaster Fire Station say that two of their engines were called to a kitchen fire in Sherburn in Elmet this morning (January 18).
A spokesman for the service said: "We used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a fan to extinguisher the fire.
"We advise you to test your alarms at least once a month and if you haven’t already registered your appliance, please do this asap."
