THE moon is something special tonight as this photo shows from Press readers Keith Laverack.

Keith took this shot this evening - it shows the full moon glowing amber red.

Did you know the 11th full moon of 2021 is known as the Beaver Moon, as well as the Frost Moon.

November's full moon is so named because beavers typically start building their winter dams in November.

In 2021, the Beaver Moon coincides with a partial lunar eclipse, otherwise known as a Half Blood Moon, as part of the moon travels through the Earth's full 'umbral' shadow.

Keith Laverack is a member of our Press Camera club and took the image at Wilberfoss, near York.

More than 2,000 readers have joined The Press Camera Club, which launched in June 2017 and brings together talented amateur photographers from across York and North and East Yorkshire to share their work, swap tips and take part in themed monthly prize competitions.
