A CAR was stolen and set on fire.
North Yorkshire Police were called out on Saturday (November 13) after reports of a stolen car in York and a further report of a white Seat Ibiza car on fire in Strensall.
Sgt Paul Cording said: "The car was located by York police and the firearms unit and myself and, thanks to the kit on board our cars the fire was extinguished before taking complete hold.
"Enquiries are ongoing to locate the suspects."
