CBEEBIES presenter Andy Day and his pantomime co-stars at York Theatre Royal have been pulling their socks up and ‘rehearsing’ for Odd Socks Day tomorrow.
Monday, November 15, marks the start of Anti-Bullying Week, organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance, of which Andy is patron.
Andy and the Odd Socks team came up with the idea of Odd Socks Day in 2017. Each year the band create a song and a video around a theme, which this year is One Kind Word.
Andy, currently rehearsing for his role as Dandini in the theatre’s panto Cinderella, said he hoped to see everyone wearing their most colourful odd socks.
“Pulling on a couple of odd socks might not seem like much, but it’s an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality in their own unique way,” he said. “This year we want to spread the message that one kind word can lead to another.”
