North Yorkshire firefighters had to deal with a series of bonfires, some left unattended in yesterday's gusty and high winds.
Just before midday, they had to deal with a bonfire that was still smoking after the previous evening in Northallerton.
At 3pm, Acomb firefighters had to put out a fire left burning without supervision in Windsor Garth, Acomb.
At 8.15pm, Scarborough firefighters had to put out a bonfire that youths had started in the underpass of Falsgrave Road, Scarborough.
In Carlton near Selby at 7pm the wind took hot embers from a bonfire and blew them onto nearby caravans. Selby firefighters put the fire out.
