IF YOU were looking for some baby name inspiration, then look no further than your houseplant.
It turns out millennials - or those born between 1981 and 1996 - are naming their kids after their favourite pot plants.
According to research by online garden centre Primrose, our love of plants has meant names such as Lily, Rose and Bay have become more popular.
If plant names are, as they say, ‘on trend’, it won’t be long before we get move from more common varieties to the weird and wonderful.
I hope when and if I eventually become a grandparent the idea has died out. I don’t want to be shouting “Yucca!”, “Poinsettia!”, or “Begonia!” in the park.
