As the days become shorter the dangers of early and late sunshine become more of a problem for road users and pedestrians alike.
Turning directly into the sun, particularly on a wet or frosty day, can and does temporarily blind you.
A recent report speaks of an increased number of accidents where blinding sunlight had been used as an excuse.
Walking down Goodramgate recently, my sight was completely blocked by strong sunlight.
We often forget that just because you can see things, doesn’t mean others travelling in the opposite direction can see you.
Don’t take it for granted that you’re seen.
