"LOUD music and good fun. It won’t be something you’ll want to miss."

That's what one band says fans can expect from their night at a popular York venue.

Riskee & The Ridicule, are pioneers of the ‘grime-punk’ scene. The band, are originally from Kent and are set to appear at The Fulford Arms next month.

The band has recently released an EP, titled Too Young To Be Blue, a collection of the three songs they’ve released over the past year. Their most recent album, Body Bag Your Scene, came out in 2019.

The band said: “Lockdown had a massive effect on the music world. Bands, venues, everything. As a band it made us miss playing live more than ever. This year we wanted to get as far and wide across the country as we can and to places we may not have played before.

"The Fulford Arms is a prestigious venue in York with some great bands who’ve played there.”

The band will headline at the pub on Thursday, December 2, from 7.30-9.30pm with tickets priced at £8 that can be bought on either seetickets.com or ents24.com.

When asked what people should expect from the show they said: “Loud music and good fun. It won’t be something you’ll want to miss.”

As previously reported in The Press, The Fulford Arms reopened its doors to the public on Saturday, July 24 this year, having been forced into closure due to Covid-19 restrictions in early 2020.

Since their return they have been able to provide the York people with the live music they have proudly offered for so long.

They say the volume of events at the Arms is increasing as we approach the festive season, with many musical artists slated to perform in the coming months, so watch this space.
