A THIEF who had two trials has been jailed for three and a half months.
Bradley Neville Bell, 51, of Wood Street, Heworth, was also banned from driving for six months.
He was told at York Magistrates Court he had committed an "appalling spree of offending" as he was sentenced.
He denied assault and theft of an £18 duvet set at Morrisons on Foss Islands Road, York. Both offence were committed in December 2019
He was convicted of both at his first trial.
He also denied taking a vehicle without consent, causing criminal damage to it, driving whilst disqualified and, driving without insurance.
All the driving offences were committed in Jackson Road, the Groves, in January.
He was convicted of all the driving offences at the second trial.
He pleaded guilty to assault and possessing cocaine on Bridge Street, on July 4 and theft of a bicycle in Grosvenor Terrace on September 13, 2020,
He was ordered to pay £50 compensation to the victim he assaulted in the Morrisons store and £100 compensation to the victim he assaulted in Bridge Street.
He was jailed for 14 weeks
