TWO men have been given suspended prison sentences at York Magistrates Court.
Joshua Andrew Dean Lancaster, 26, of Woolnough Avenue, Tang Hall, was given a 16-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months on condition he does 15 days’ rehabilitative activities and 100 hours’ unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay a £128 statutory surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.
He pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis with intent to supply it to others.
Nigel Stuart Flint, 50, of West Garth, Sherburn near Malton, was given a 28-week prison sentence suspended for two years on condition he does 30 days’ rehabilitative activities and doesn’t enter Penley’s Grove Street in York. He pleaded guilty to shop theft, criminal damage using threatening words or behaviour, two charges of possessing cannabis, diazepam and failure to comply with a community order. He was ordered to pay £230.40 compensation.
