I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, or whether Robert Greaves was just winding us all up with his plea to make war illegal (Letters, October 22).
Such a law would be totally self-defeating. Laws need policing. If someone acts belligerently, sending the cops in isn’t likely to help much. What to do instead? Send in the military? Er, no. We can’t. They’re illegal.
