A POLICE helicopter and dogs were brought in to assist in a search for a missing person in York today.
York Rescue Boat tweeted that its team was called out by North Yorkshire Police at just before 5.30pm to assist in the search.
It said the search was brought to a safe conclusion by the National Police Air Service and North Yorkshire Police dog unit.
It added that the rescue boat team had now been stood down and had returned to base.
