ANOTHER York hospitality venue has been hit by staffing shortages.
Zizzi, the Italian restaurant in Lendal, was telling customers today that, unfortunately, it could only take pre-booked tables at this time.
A notice in the window said this was 'due to staff shortages and supply issues,' adding: "Sorry for any inconvenience."
The news comes after the cafe in Costa Coffee in High Ousegate has been closed for more than a week because of severe staff shortages, with the business doing takeaways only.
Dyls cafe near Skeldergate Bridge has also been closed on early days of the week because of a shortage of staff, although the situation there has been easing since the return of university students and the ending of furlough.
