JOE McGovern, 20, of The Horseshoe, York, was caught drink driving an e-scooter on Tadcaster Road on August 20. He was banned from driving for 18 months, fined £276 and ordered to pay a £34 statutory surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.
Undergraduate William Adrian Millett, 19, of Nicholas Street, York, was caught drink riding an e-scooter on Rougier Street on October 2. He was banned for 12 months, fined £80 and ordered to pay a £34 statutory surcharge.
Harry George Wilson, 20, of Commercial Street, Settle, was caught drink riding an e-scooter on Hull Road on September 30. He was fined £400 and ordered to pay a £40 statutory surcharge and £85 prosecution costs. He was banned for 12 months.
Brian Tony Patrick McCann, 40, of Sirocco Court, was caught drug riding an e-scooter on Clarence Street on April 4. He tested positive for cannabis and did not have insurance for the vehicle, which was privately owned.
He was fined £120 and ordered to pay a £34 statutory surcharge. Last month, the Press reported how Jack Armstrong, 21, of Goodramgate, York was three times the drink drive limit when he was caught riding an e-scooter on Parliament Street on August 30. He was banned for 23 months.
All defendants were ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs.
