YOUNGSTERS aged 12-15 can book a Covid jab at York's mass vaccination centre from later today.
Organisers Nimbuscare said youngsters could get an appointment at the Askham Bar complex via the NHS National Booking System, and walk-ins were not permitted for this age group.
It said more than 2,000 appointments would be available over the half term holiday at Askham Bar for this age group, with future dates and more appointments made available from November for this age group.
Prof Mike Holmes of Ninbuscare said: "We hope that young people in York and North Yorkshire will be reassured that we can offer a great service and will follow in the footsteps of their older colleagues to come and get their vaccine from us here at Askham Bar.”
"These appointments will be bookable only and people are asked to attend as near to their appointment time as possible to avoid any waiting. We would also ask people to wrap up warm, be prepared for wet weather and drink plenty of fluids on the day."
A spokeswoman said bookings for 12-15 year olds at Askham Bar should be live by teatime.
