TICKETS for the hugely popular 'Christmas Evenings' at Beamish Museum will go on sale this morning - but you'll have to be quick.

Tickets for several dates in December will go on sale at 10am on Friday (October 22) as thousands are expected to try and apply.

Beamish has said it is holding its special 'Christmas Evenings' on December 9, 10, 16 and 17 from 4.30pm to 9.30pm.

In previous years, the event has proven popular with people from all ages desperate to catch a glimpse of a transformed Beamish Museum.

A spokesperson for the museum said: "Discover how the festive season was celebrated from the 1820s right the way through to the 1950s with a special Christmas Evening at Beamish – the perfect way to count down to the big day."

How to get your tickets 

Tickets go on sale at 100am on Friday (October 22) with prices starting at £6 for 0 - 16 year olds for the Grotto, £10 for children aged two to 16 and £15 for adults.

Tickets are being sold on a first come first served basis and is a separate ticketed evening event ­– Beamish Unlimited Passes and Friends of Beamish memberships are not valid for evening events.
