A MAJOR road, which had to be closed earlier due to a road traffic collision, has now reopened.
The A1 Northbound between J47 Allerton Park and J48 Boroughbridge had a lane two and three closure earlier today due to the crash.
Speaking from the scene, Sgt Paul Cording of North Yorkshire Poice said: "Traffic is heavy in the area, so please expect some minor delays whilst we arrange recovery."
At around 9.30am, the road reopened fully, Sgt Cording tweeted:
The #A1(M) near #Boroughbridge is fully open following earlier RTC. Update to follow and thank you for your patience https://t.co/gXKGbyGdQo
