POLICE are investigating after a man exposed himself in York.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information about an incident in the Water Lane area of York on Saturday (October 10).

The incident happened at about 7.15pm, and involved a man exposing himself, urinating in the street, then riding off on a cycle. He is described as white, of average build and wearing a dark grey jacket.

A police spokesman said: "We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. In particular, we are appealing to anyone that may have seen the man and may be able to identify him to get in touch.

"Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for PC 826 Wilson.
