A TINY kitten had a lucky escape after getting stuck behind some kitchen units.
Firefighters from Tadcaster were called out to a property after reports that a young cat needed rescuing earlier today (October 13).
They used an endoscope - a thin flexible tube with a light and camera at one end, more commonly used by doctors to look inside the body, to help spot the kitten on a handheld screen and aid the rescue.
Group manager Bob Hoskins said: "Tadcaster have attended a kitten who had become trapped behind a kitchen unit.
"Crews used an endoscope to locate the kitten and bring it to safety.
"The owner was very pleased to be reacquainted with the cat who had only been in the property two days."
