I notice that the hounds are out in force baying for a public inquiry into the government’s handling of the pandemic.

As per usual though it’s all - If Only, Why Didn’t We, We Should Have, I’d Have Done it This Way or Done it That Way. It’s all hindsight and speculation. Nobody really knows just what they would have done in such a terrible situation.

So, we’re to have a public inquiry with a chairman on God knows how many thousands of pounds, plus all of his/her minions and hangers on, and question after question coming out of the woodwork.

It will be a total waste of time and money, because the clocks cannot be rolled back. What’s happened has happened.

So put the money to better use. There are lots of problems in the country that desperately need financing. I’m not asking for a forgive and forget state of mind. Lets just learn from it and get this country built back up again.
