EMERGENCY services are warning the public about a training exercise taking place today.

North Yorkshire Police say that, along with our colleagues at North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, Yorkshire Ambulance Service and the Royal Air Force, they will be taking part in a training exercise at RAF Dishforth today (October 13).

A police spokesman said: "You may see increased activity at this location, along with a number of emergency service vehicles so please don’t be alarmed.

"Exercises like this one play a key role in ensuring we are always ready to respond to a whole range of incidents and enable us to test out our capabilities and skills alongside our partner organisations."
