A YORK care home is hosting a recruitment open day to showcase the roles on offer.

The event at Minster Grange Care Home, Haxby Road, Clifton, also aims to highlight careers in care when it welcomes potential new recruits between 10am and 4pm on Tuesday, October 12.

The leadership team at the 62-bed home in Clifton will be on hand for talk with visitors throughout the event, job descriptions will be available, and there will also be a chance to interview for specific positions on the day.

Complimentary refreshments will be on offer, and a goody bag for each applicant.

Among the jobs now available are roles in care, including entry level healthcare assistant roles starting at £9.20 an hour, opportunities for nurses from £19.60 an hour, and position in the activities team.

Managers will have full details of the package of benefits available for staff at the home, which is part of the nationwide Maria Mallaband Care Group (MMCG). These include workplace pensions, a health plan, NVQ training, career progression opportunities and long service awards.

Care Home Manager Victoria Darlow said: “This is a fantastic place to work with great facilities and a brilliant friendly team, so we’re really excited about meeting some potential new recruits, whether they have years of experience, are just starting out."

“I’ll also be sharing information about the fantastic package that comes with working with us; with fully-funded training and great support the opportunities for career progression within Maria Mallaband are second to none, and there are a host of other benefits including a health plan and a pension plan too.”
