DINERS are in for a treat as York venues lay on a feast of tasty offers from as little as £5 for one week.

Vouchers for York Restaurant Week are now available to download, with a host of different deals to choose from at almost 50 different eateries - and food on offer from around the globe.

York Restaurant Week runs from Monday, October 11 to Sunday, October 17, and is organised by the York Business Improvement District (York BID) to encourage people to eat out during a quieter time of year for hospitality businesses.

As part of the popular event, restaurants, cafés, pubs, bars, hotels, and street food vendors in York city centre will once again be offering a variety of set menus, priced at either £5, £10, £15 or £20.

BID business manager, Chris Bush said: “We’re really pleased that despite the current pressure on hospitality due to staffing issues, we are still able to go ahead with Restaurant Week, and the enthusiastic response we’ve had from previous participants proves the benefit they gain from taking part.

“We are also grateful to the City of York Council who have allocated funding from the Additional Restrictions Grant to support this event.”
