THE York Dungeons has announced a spooky walking tour for Halloween - delving into 2,000 years of frightful history.

The family-friendly trick and treat walking tour will take in some of York’s most iconic sites with the Dungeon’s dynamic duo Jester and Smedley.

Jester and Smedley will take the York Dungeon family attraction above ground - guiding Halloween fans and thrill-seeking families through a wicked adventure.

Mark Mattinson, general manager of the York Dungeons said: “We can’t wait to take our guests on a ghoulish guide of York, one of the UK’s most haunted cities.

"Guests will experience all the frights the Dungeons are (in)famous for, whilst visiting well-known landmarks and learning about the history of York.

"This city has surprises lurking round every corner and we’re so excited to bring the shadows of the dungeons to the streets during spooky season.”
