A CAR was seized at the roadside after being stopped by police.
North Yorkshire Police say traffic officers and the dog unit stopped a Volkswagen Golf on the A64 at Barton Le Willows in Ryedale over the weekend.
Traffic Constable David Minto said: "The driver only had a provisional licence, but was displaying no L plates and they had no insurance either.
"The vehicle was seized and the driver reported.
"A passenger in the car was given a cannabis warning for possession."
