More petrol stations in York have had to close because they have run out of fuel.
Morrisons on Foss Islands Road, York, where motorists were queuing six deep yesterday and for much of today, is now empty because its pumps have run dry.
At Monks Cross Shopping Centre, Asda petrol station was also closed to cars and other vehicles wanting fuel.
Earlier in the day Texaco in Boroughbridge Road was closed but was expected to get a delivery this afternoon, and is now reported to be open again.
Sainsburys, which has a petrol station at Monks Cross, is not commenting on the situation at any of its sites.
It has said that deliveries have been made today, but is not saying where.
Tesco's petrol station at Askham Bar is now closed until Monday according to its website, but its Clifton Moor petrol station is said to be open.
