CHILDREN at one school got a surprise visit.
North Yorkshire Fire And Rescue Tadcaster say that after crews were called out to an accidental fire alarm at Sherburn Hungate primary school in Sherburn in Elmer yesterday (September 24) the team from Tadcaster red watch took the opportunity to meet the youngsters and talk to them in the playground about their job.
A spokesman said on Twitter: "We took the opportunity to educate the children about firefighters and how we help people. It's not just fires."
