POLICE are trying to identify the owner of a high-value bicycle which was recovered by officers earlier this year.

The bike was recovered by police in June in the York area. Enquiries are ongoing, but its owner is yet to be identified. North Yorkshire Police officers suspect that it may have been stolen sometime at the end of 2020 or early 2021.

If anyone recognises the bike as belonging to them, they are asked to contact the force. The owner should have proof of purchase or ownership, and be able to provide some further details about the bike.

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for Sinead Brocken or Beverly Hoban. You can also email sinead.brocken@northyorkshire.police.uk or beverley.hoban@northyorkshire.police.uk

If you wish to remain anonymous, you can pass information to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
