It seems a bit of a cheek for Boris to ask Brazil to stop burning down the Amazon rain forest when we destroyed 95 per cent of our own forests to fuel the industrial revolution and now want to destroy 12-plus ancient woodlands to build HS2 - just so we can get from York to London via Birmingham 10 minutes quicker.
