A HARROGATE-BORN man ran from York to Leeds on Friday, September 17 to raise awareness of suicide prevention.
Matt Bagwell, 52, ‘breath work coach’ and father of two, has taken part in 21 ultra-marathons - a run which is over 26 miles - across England throughout September for Suicide Awareness Day - his 10th run being from York to Leeds.
His aim is to cover1,050km across England, and raise £105,000 for mental health charity Campaign Against Living Miserably.
Matt , who lives in Brighton, said: “I have been training for two years, its exhausting but I’m kept focused and positive - so far its either been really hot and hard or soaking wet and hard - typical British September weather.
“When I make an effort to start my day with mindful breathing, gratitude and a run I tend to have a better day.”
