POLICE are hunting a wanted man.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for the public’s help to track down a wanted man who has been recalled to prison.

The force say that Dennis Walter Reynolds, 40, has links to Scarborough and Hull.

He has had his prison release licence revoked by HM Prison and Probation Service after he failed to live at an approved address in Hull and for committing suspected thefts and drug offences in the Scarborough area.

Reynolds was sentenced to 10 months’ imprisonment in March 2021 for a series of vehicle-related thefts in Scarborough in January this year.

Police enquiries are ongoing in North Yorkshire and Humberside to find Reynolds. All police forces in the country have also been notified in case he has travelled further afield.

A police spokesman  said: "If you know where Reynolds is or you have possibly seen a man who looks like him, please dial 999 and quote the North Yorkshire Police reference number 12210196901.

"Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers on freephone 0800 555111 or make a report via www.crimestoppers-uk.org.

"Members of the public are advised not to approach Reynolds. Please pass on any information and leave it to the police to detain him."
