POLICE have issued a CCTV appeal after shoplifters struck at a supermarket.

North Yorkshire Police say the images show two women they would like to speak to following a theft of alcohol.

The theft took place at the Tesco store in Station Avenue in Filey at about 3.15pm on Friday, August 20.

A police spokesman said: "The offenders filled two trollies with alcohol and left the store making no attempt to make payment.

"Officers are asking members of the public to get in touch if they recognise the women in the images as they believe they may hold information which would be useful to the investigation.
