A YORK car retailer has helped a charity towards its £8.5 million target to provide a high-tech imaging research centre in East Yorkshire.
The York branch of Arnold Clark donated £3,000 from the company’s community programme towards Daisy Appeal’s campaign, which aims to raise the funds for a molecular imaging research centre at Castle Hill hospital.
Claire Levy, fundraiser for the Daisy Appeal, said: “We have now raised £7.5 million towards our target which will enable the delivery of radioactive tracers quickly and effectively to individual patients - we are extremely grateful for the donation.”
Martin Ralph, general manager at Arnold Clark York, said: “Thank you to all of those at the Daisy Appeal who continue to do incredible work, transforming medical facilities around East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.”
The charity has raised over £20 million for the Humber region in all.
